The Chicago History Museum is in the beginning stages of producing a signature film to play several times daily in our newly renovated theater. The 15 to 20 minute film, which will premiere on July 4, 2015, takes two young Chicagoans on a time travel adventure through history. We are currently conducting a casting call for these two lead roles, and would like to offer the opportunity to our many cultural partners to spread the word in their communities. Candidates should send head shots and acting resume to Sehban Zaidi sehbanZ@answersmediainc.com. Screen tests for selected few will be conducted at Answers Media, 30 N. Racine, on Wednesday, October 22, in the late afternoon.

Age: 13 years to 16 years (Can cast older as long as they look to be in this age range)
Race: Open
She is intelligent and possesses ample wit that displays itself through the occasional comment. While caring, she is a touch restrained in how openly she engages with the world and is at the stage in her life where she feels the need to be careful in how she displays her sharp mind. She is protective of her ward, which creates an inherent tension between the two because he doesn¹t think he needs protection and chases adventure. She¹d rather be somewhere else but is still nurturing in her approach, trying to create an aura of being too cool to care, while caring a lot. The Han Solo of babysitting.

Precocious and book smart, he possess a natural curiosity and sense of adventure. He does, however, lack attention span and is constantly ready to bounce to his next adventure. He is adorable, but also doesn¹t think he needs to be looked after which leads to him trying to act more grown up than he is. A modern day version of Scout from To Kill a Mockingbird.
